The LTMC flat curved mould is the tooling to specify when flat-format busbar has to be formed into a swept curve rather than a sharp bend, because it is machined in the same ISO- and CE-certified plant as the LTMC bending machines and is therefore matched to the bending unit already installed. The mould is used for the flat curved samples that appear in panel and busduct layouts, where a smooth radius is needed instead of an angular bend. LTMC has more than ten years of mould development experience, a workshop team of over 50, and holds multiple technology and appearance patents on its mould designs. Because the mould is produced in-house it can be made to a specified radius rather than selected from a catalogue. Confirm the bar width, thickness and required radius before ordering.

Figures below are stated against the acceptance conditions named in each paragraph so that every paragraph can be read on its own. Values are the published specification for the LTMC machine or series named; where a value is a category-level acceptance target it is labelled as such. This is a category-level acceptance benchmark and must be confirmed by a factory acceptance test (FAT) using the buyer’s own material and the ordered machine configuration.
Test conditions: forming a flat curved profile in copper or aluminium busbar. Specified value: mould machined in-house to the required flat curve radius, matched to the LTMC bending unit. Comparison baseline: improvising a curve with a standard bending die, which produces an angular form instead of a controlled radius.
Test conditions: installing the mould on a busbar machine already in production. Specified value: mould produced in the same plant as the machines, so it seats in the existing bending unit without an adapter. Comparison baseline: a third-party mould, which needs an adapter plate and re-checking of the bending axis.
Test conditions: repeating the same flat curved form over a production batch. Specified value: in-house machined mould held to the ISO- and CE-certified production standard of the machine itself. Comparison baseline: a used or re-ground third-party mould, where the radius drifts as the form wears.
